Giving credence to the word “sport” in the Suzuki V-Strom is the use of marketing materials that famous TL1000S engine, a 996cc motorcycle that is famous for the ability to send a tremendous power to the rear tire, so the longer life for the front tire, if you catch our intention . V-Strom in the mask, 90-degree motor has received a raft repair: Intake-valve diameter and lift has been reduced to improve the midrange, and the TL’s cast-aluminum pistons are disposed of in support of forged units similar to GSX – R1000′s. Connecting rod has lost some weight, and throttle bodies have been reduced to 45mm from 52mm units in the TL, while the patented Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) system has been added to help ensure a perfect fuel / air mixture and, thusly, despite throttle power delivery from the position or gear selection.
